Help Us With the Project

Varney House, Dover, New Hampshire. Found by an internet reader

People have helped immeasurably by letting me know about Wentworth buildings and projects that were not included in the initial website for the project. For example, the owner of the home originally designed for Lucius Varney  in Dover, New Hampshire sent photographs and a story about the property. Its a remarkable home with a Casque and Gauntlet decorative motif.

And, a another web reader from Florida found additional pictures of Wentworth with President Calvin Coolidge when the ex-President was on vacation there. Its a great picture and it got me wondering how Wentworth did in holding a conversation with the famously silent Coolidge.

Your help and assistance is needed. I am confident that there are more unattributed buildings out there for discovery. For example, Wentworth had numerous clients in the Liberty, New York area. He summered there and designed the Edson Aldridge Library as part of a sanitorium outside of the city. When I visited the site, I was struck with major building in the center of town, housing a small movie theater. It has a very similar look as a bank building in Ridgewood, New Jersey that Wentworth designed that now houses the Town and Country Pharmacy. So, I am confident that there are other buildings to be discovered. Is the Liberty building a Wentworth design? I just dont know. Help solve the mystery and find more FWW projects!
